A – First the vessel must inform the yard about power requirement onboard 440V/60 Hz well in advance so that there are no last-minute surprises.
• Check correct voltage and frequency.
• Check physical condition- terminals are carbon free and not damaged, cable condition.
• Check Lamp indication is working for correct phase sequence.
• Check any other indications- ammeter etc. are functional.
