3 months before Dry doc
1. The last DD inspection report should be checked what all items can be repeated in this Dry doc
2. Dd defect list has to be prepared what all items has to be considered
3. Any new installations/ modifications for regulatory compliance are to be done then that should be considered.
4. Pre docking inspection should be carried out to check the condition of the hall and if any jobs are to be done in that
5. Superintendent inspection should be carried out so that to decide what all jobs are to be done by the by the yard people and by the ship people
6. DD specs have to be prepared and should be approved by the company
7. Then spares and stores requisition has to be reached so that the spares and stores will come and time 8. DD will HV to be selected
9. Any open COC or statutory recommendation must be taken into the scope of DD jobs.
7 days before DD
1. Ensure all the space and stores have been received
2. And ensure that all the plans drawings manual Sur present
3. Then ensure all the special tools are present
4. Ensure that tagging and marking of those present stores has been done
5. The shore connections have been identified and the electrical shore connection has been checked
6. The tanks which have to be inspected or maintenance has to be carried out in them they have been cleaned and g as freed
Now just before entering the drydock /few hours before DD 1. Make sure all heavy items have been lashed.
2. Then Main Engine, generators and boilers have been changed over to diesel oil
3. Then all the spares that have been received are placed in near to the place where they have to be renewed 4. Then all overboard valves are being shut
5. Sounding of the tanks has been carried out
6. Crankshaft deflection has been measured by CE.
7. Identify shore connections are ready
8. Emergency generator, fire pp & lights have been tried out.
9. Restricted access to Engine room using Lock and key arrangement.
10. CO2 room to be locked and gang release to be blanked.
11. Tank top / Bilge Well to be cleaned.
12. Bottom Plug Spanner to be kept standby.
13. Grounding cable is ready.
14. Shore connection box is ready.
15. ICCP & MGPS are switched off.
16. GM of the ship is as per plan
17. If Sludge/ Bilge /Sewage water has not been discharged to the shore then that has to be carried out.
18. Allocate duties as per repair list
19. Shut all overboard valves
