The International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC 1972) is an international agreement adopted by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United Nations.Its dual objectives are to maintain a high level of safety of human life during container handling, stacking, and transport, and to facilitate international freight movement through uniform safety requirements and mutual acceptance of approved containers.
