●Ensure stability calculation with CO and as provided by yard. ●Ensure Propeller immersion.
●Ensure position of vessel during DD.
●Endure trim and draft as per DD yard master requirmemt. ●No shifting of weights.
●Monitor ships behavior and communication during Critical period.
At DD
Safety measures to be followed
Attend the meeting with master , dock master and team leaders and discuss the various contegency plan in case of any emergency as well as job description and time to completion,
there are certain safety rules to be followed by the Dry docs and ship as well-
~An escape route and two fixed gangways, independent of each other, should be kept ready.
~Safety plan for vessels should be made available at gangways ~A communication system and alarm routine for emergencies
-ensure fire man water available ( through ISC)
- esure CO2 shore line available.
Endure power cable good condition and as per IEC standard.
Ensure CO2 system is blaned and pilot line removed., also ensure- arrengemnt to prevent accidental discharge., ~The area of the dock where hot work is performed should have portable extinguishers and a connected fire-hose. ~Keep a watch on the ship regularly.
~Contact with the fire brigade on the shore.
~Extra alarm system wherever it is necessary.
~Ensure that fire-doors or WT doors are operational all the time.
~A g as-free certificate.
~Watch out for any fire during hot work plus the following two hours.
~Permit for conducting hot work.
