Procedural Requirements is prepared by a surveyor whenever deficiencies are related to SMS failures during a Initial, Intermediate, Renewal or Occasional survey. This RO will not be the same who has carried out the SMC Audit of the vessel.
Surveyor will keep PR 17 form with him. If any deficiency he will fill and if not – he will cross it.
What type of deficiencies are there? Documentation, Operational, Technical, Others What can not be reported ?
1.Which have been found out by ships crew.
2.Which has been reported by PSC
3.Which has been seen by internal Auditor and ships crew is working on it. 4.Normal wear and tear
The surveyor will report these deficiencies to the office of the class and there they will verify if the deficiencies will hamper implementation of ISM and then they will be reported to the Admin. Accordingly Corrective action will be taken
