environmental protection involving the entire spectrum of human activities performed by ship’s crew, shore based mgt., regulatory bodies & others

- The human element is recognized as one of the main contributing factor to the casualties & Incidents in the

shipping sector & key element of the safety of life onboard ships.

- Human Err is defined as an action or omission which can be identified as the immediate cause of the event

from which the liability arises.

It can also be defined as a departure from acceptable or desirable practices on the part of an individual that can result in unacceptable or undesirable results
