A –
1.As per SOLASchp 2-1 reg 41 as there are 3 generators and only generator is not working so the statutory requirement is being fulfilled
2.I will ensure that the outgoing C/E has reported to the company class flag and taken COC. As statutory requirement is being satisfied so no need of flag dispensation
3.Sol will take over.
4.Now report NC . Enter into the defect list .
5.Raise req for the spares
6.ask company to provide a authorised workshop
7.Also ensure other 2 generators and in good condition and each can take the sea going load
8.Ensure no maintenance is overdue on the other 2 generators
9.Now we will have to claim from H & M for the damaged gen for that the following Documents will hv to be prepared- CE, master statement, duty eng and oilers witness report, super inspection report, class quarterly report, parameters when the damage occurred ,lube oil shore report, proof of OEM parts were used, last overhaul when done as per PMS and overhaul report, photographs of damage and if any damaged spares are there they can be shown to the surveyor
