1.As lifeboat has been damaged a RCA should be carried out of why the lifeboat engine got damaged 2.If it is due to a spare check if spare is there . If there then And if there then do maintenance and make it operational
3.If spare not there, report to company, class, flag, take flag dispensation 4.Raise reqn for spare and add to Defect List.
5.Check the other lifeboat engine so that the other boat engine does not get damaged
6.Once in Port if spare does not come then get life rafts of equivalent capacity and make necessary arrangements to fix it on the Deck
7.Once spare comes then you can fit it and remove dispensation
