Under Chapter 18.4.1.2 and the Annex (LNG-Bunker Delivery Note) of the IGF Code (IMO Resolution MSC.391(95)), bunkering low-flashpoint fuels (such as LNG) requires a specialized LNG Bunker Delivery Note (BDN).
Mandatory Data Required on an IGF Code BDN
Ship particulars: Ship name, IMO number, date of delivery.
LNG composition: Methane, ethane, propane, iso-butane, n-butane, pentane, hexane, heptane, nitrogen and sulphur, normally expressed as % mass/mass. It also notes very low/negligible quantities of H₂S, hydrogen, ammonia, chlorine, fluorine and water.
Quantity delivered: Net total delivered in tonnes, energy quantity such as MJ/GJ, and volume in m³.
Authentication: Supplier company/name and contact details, signature, place/port, date and receiver's signature.
