CE need to carry out root cause analysis for the above issue,ag ain check the speed and fuel consumption accordingly twice.first check the engine all parameters are within limits or not,then calculate SFOC and take performance of the engine, compare with seatrial.check the outside weather conditions ,get info about wind force and direction,sea state,swell conditionby analyzing all data C/E has ordered immediate of faster action is being taken.also check the noon report and slip of the engine.reviewing all data by CE, then he has to find out the actual fault and carry out troubleshooting according to it.
