Answer
1.Stop the bunkering , inform the bunker barge and close all valve.
2.Raise emcy alarm
3.Inform master and initiate emcy response procedures Inform port or local autho., company , Flag state, p & I .
4.Identify source of spill and stop the overflow by closing valve.
5.Clean up operation start with sopepeqip. (Marpol Anx 1 Reg 37) 6.Oil drain or transfer from affected area.
7.Oil gone ovbd should be contained so that it will not spread & oil disperants to be used after getting permission from local autho.
8.Putting saw dust over the scupper plug will give additional barrier for oil to go ovbd.
9.A.c to be put in recirculation mode to avoid bunker fumes coming into accomo.
10.Make Incident report and n.c to be report.
11.All events to be recorded in official log book and photographs taken for further litigation and claim settlement.
12.Deballasting to discontinue.
