If a level detector employing radioactive radiation is used to Deck check the cylinders, this equipment must be removed from the ship before sailing. The approved servicing station shall undertake the weighment of the CO2 cylinders only. All service stations must be registered with DG Shipping.
Any bottle is considered failed if the weight drops below 5% post which it will have to undergo a hydrostatic pressure test upto the test pressure stamped on it and if it still fails that also the bottle is considered failed.
