point where sampling line divides from the Ballast pipe.
Length of Sampling pipe = at least equal to the dia of sampling pipe.
Where Diso & Dm are Diameter of Sampling port opening & the main flow in the Discharge Line, respectively; and Qiso and Qm are Volumetric flow rates of sample & main water. 2.Sample point as close as possible to the ship’s discharge.
3.The inlet side of the sampling pipe from the main pipe should be chamfered for smooth transition.
